LI-55 Downtoning Language: Modifiers

Business English is about more than begin able to speak English – it is about communicating your ideas in ways other people will want to listen to and accept. In this lesson we examine a basic way to change the structure of your sentence – not the meaning – so that it is softer and more acceptable in a work environment.

Hi everybody,
Welcome to EnglishPod!
Our podcasts are talks between native speakers, so only the dialogue part has the PDF transcripts with all the language points. But thank you very much for your suggestion, we will consider about that!

I’m very happy for finding this website. It really helps me, but i wish every dialogue were written so that it would be even more helpful, especially to those whose mother tongue is not English. Thanks a lot, englishpod…

Hi Team,
It is Brilliant! However as others have suggested I too would request the conversation be written and if vedios could be attached too. This way the Participant will be able to read and see how the body Language matches. This is due to the fact that most Language learners are Visual learners at first.
Also another request is that how do veiw the same website for the Indian learners?
Thanks in advance ! And yes Great Work Friend…
Have a nice Day!
