New and Improving
Hi everyone,
EnglishPod is coming out with a new version of the site. Better content, more focused, and more great hosts. For those of you using the “Advanced English”, we will now call it Business EnglishPod. There will be 3 levels: Lower Intermediate, Upper Intermediate and Advanced. The shows will have a professional feel and be more business oriented. The learning center is going to have more exerciese, sample sentences and other tools for review and reinforcement. (The simplified Chinese site will also have better content, but will have 5 levels and more general English lessons).
As always, your suggestions are welcome. Comment on lessons, hosts, my rants, the webiste format, the exercises - everything and anything you want. The show and the website are designed to be flexible and user-driven, so we’ll change whenever we find something that works better.

I really liked the old English Pod.

Don’t worry James,
We’re keeping all the good parts of the show and the website. Anything in particular that you want us to keep?

I really enjoyed the discussions which were shown in the old shows. Dialogues can really bore someone out after awhile.

Right, I know what you mean. We want to keep doing some of those discussions, but add a bit more structure to them. Ultimately, we want variety and valuable learning in the lessons but also as much authenticity as we can get.

Is there a way that I could obtain the old mp3s?

James,
Check it out - how to get the old lesson mp3s and pdfs:
1) Get BitTorrent. You can follow this link to the site to download it for free and install it. (Note, lots of websites will try to get you to pay for BitTorrent… if you have any trouble, try the link again or type in the url. http://www.bittorrent.com/download.myt
2) Go to the podcast archive at Englishpod.com
3) Click on the mp3 or pdf and BitTorrent will ask where you want it and download it for you and put all the files nicely into a folder. (Note, there are lots of lessons, so this could take awhile - maybe do it over night.) The mp3 names are just our file numbers, but if you right click and look at the properties, you’ll find the topic name.
4) Smile, relax, and go over the old lessons as much as you like.
5) Any questions? Leave a comment here, or email us at englishpod@gmail.com

I am finding that quite hard at the moment. Is there any other ways that I could obtain the mp3s?
