Animal Adjectives

I spent my day off at the zoo recently. I am always amazed at the variety of wildlife out there, the strange and unusual beasts we have on this planet. But this is not really to tell you about what I saw at the zoo (you can go and check that out for yourself!) but more to tell you what I did. A game. Something simple you can do to do to revise and test your English and have fun at the same time! The rules are simple: choose an animal to watch, in turns use one adjective or one sentence to describe it, keep going until you or your friend can’t say any more about that animal. The person who can say the most ‘wins’ that animal! The winner has the most animals by the time you go home. The loser buys the coffee!
Try it next time you go to the zoo! Here is a link incase you want to brush up on your animal adjectives before you go!

(ps I am sure this easy game would work well in other places too. Let me know where you try it and how it goes!)

  1. Nice post Carla.

One suggestion is that blogging should have the same register as a conversation among friends, so in future posts I’d refrain from the exclamation marks - too much fun isn’t such fun, if you know what I mean. Otherwise, this is definitely in the right direction.
